Home Learning for Self-Isolation
During the time in which children may be required to self-isolate, it is now a Department for Education expectation that children will continue to learn at home; schools are responsible for providing learning activities and parents are responsible for delivering this learning to their children.
At this time, we will continue to provide high quality education and support to children using Microsoft Teams. This will be a blended approach of live lessons and assignments/activities set. This learning may include links to online resources such as White Rose Maths, Oak Academy and BBC Bitesize. Teachers will be able to provide support and feedback using Microsoft Notebook/Teams.
Our rich integrated curriculum is carefully planned to enable children to develop knowledge and skills in all curriculum areas, underpinned by our learning values and with a strong focus on reading, writing and maths. This is something we will continue to prioritise during this period of home learning.
Children have been using their Microsoft account in school so that they know how to access their home learning.
If you have any queries regarding account details please contact Mrs. Stables in the school office.
For queries regarding home learning in general please contact Mr. Aris through the school office.
Any questions regarding the work set for children should be sent to the class teacher responsible for your child's year group.
We have put together a video to explain our how our remote learning is working for us and benefiting our children:
