Mr. Aris is the Computing Subject Leader at The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School. Computing is part of our STEM Faculty which is led by Mrs Billinsgley.

A high-quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. Computing has deep links with mathematics, science and design and technology, and provides insights into both natural and artificial systems. The core of computer science, in which pupils are taught the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work and how to put this knowledge to use through programming. This enables children to learn, revisit and deepen their knowledge and understanding of both computational thinking concepts and programming. We structure progression within our curriculum into 3 strands: Digital literacy, information systems and Computer science. Digitally literate children are empowered and inspired to embark on learning experiences that are underpinned with the knowledge and understanding that equips them to excel in the digital world.
