We’ve had a busy week in Nursery. We chopped pumpkins to a delicious soup. We used the leftover pumpkins to improve our fine motor skills and hand eye coordination by hammering golf tees into them.

The nursery children had a very exciting visit from a police officer and our community PCSO’s. They told them all of the things they do to help us. The children were able to try on police outfits and some of them actually got to wear handcuffs. They even got to sit in a real police car and put on…

This week in nursery we’ve been learning about Eid. We decorated our home corner and designed some beautiful mehndi patterns. Mrs Kamran came into nursery to tell us all about how she celebrated Eid with her family. 

This week we have been learning about Eid. The children decorated the home corner and designed their own beautiful mehndi patterns. They were very interested when Mrs. Kamran came to nursery to tell and show us photographs of  how she had celebrated Eid with her family.

The Nursery children had a fabulous day dressing up and taking part in lots of book related activities.

Our favourite song in nursery at the moment is the Wheels on Bus. We really enjoyed pretending to board the bus with our bus tickets and take a trip into town. We sang the song and did all the actions. The bus driver drove very carefully through the town and we all made sure to keep our baby dolls…

Today we went for a listening walk around the school garden. We go on listening walks when we want to focus on the different sounds we hear in the environment. We heard a car, a bird and we walked through the soggy, wet leaves to hear the sound they made. The children listened beautifully and…
