4B Pizzas
This week year 4 made their own pizzas! The children had researched different types of pizza, found out about Italian pizza making and then used all their new knowledge to make their own. The children really enjoyed being Italian chefs for the day.

Year 4 Water Cycle
Year 4 have been learning about states of matter in science. This week we continued our learning about evaporation and condensation. We did some investigations to explore water evaporating and then looked at how the gas changes back into a liquid. We also found out about the water cycle.

Local area walk
4B have been so busy this week. To help us with our map drawing we went for a walk around the area local to school to spot street names and features. We then drew our own route maps when we got back to school.

Church Visit
As part of our RE this half term, Year 4 visited Church to have a look at what is used in a Baptism in church. They very much enjoyed their visit and were pleased to get back into church again after so long.

Trips
Year 4 finally made it to Brockholes for the long awaited trip!
We enjoyed a walk to the forest, mini beast hunting and bird watching as well as eating our lunch with a fantastic view.

Pizza Tasting
As part of our Italy topic we are going to be making our own pizzas. This week we evaluated some existing products. We wrote about the appearance, smell, taste and texture of different pizzas.

Year 4 are exploring Italy
Year 4 are exploring Italy in geography. This week we identified different areas of Italy on a range of maps and looked at videos and photographs of what these areas are like.

4B Christmas Fun
4B have enjoyed lots of Christmas activities this week. We had a great afternoon on Wednesday playing chocolate bingo, taking part in different party games and making Christmas cards.

Our trip to Brockholes had to be postponed last week. Instead we took part in lots of different activities. Ask us about den building, environmental art, sketching minibeasts, how to find out types of tree and why our garden is a good habitat for worms, woodlice, spiders and centipedes.

Year 4 Virtual Parliament Tour

Year 4B Maths
In maths we are learning about multiplication. We have been making arrays to represent different numbers and using our 10 times tables to help us work our our 9s and 11s. We have learnt a new maths word this week too - factors!

4B Habitat hunt
Year 4 have started a new science topic all about living things and their habitats. We went on a treasure hunt around our school garden to find garden worms, insects with more than 6 legs, dead leaves, green items and lots of other things.
