In our computing lessons this half term our focus is on online safety. This week we have been discussing the idea of digital manipulation. We investigated the reasons why this can be positive for some people but also how it can have a negative effect too. The children learned that any picture that is uploaded to the internet can be copied and then manipulated by anyone using software freely available online. They did this by editing a photo of Mr Thompson.
To finish our lesson we discussed the impact that digital manipulation of photos could have on people's mental health and how to spot images that have potentially been manipulated.
