We have been looking at ways people celebrate Christmas around the world. In Nigerian some families weave palm fronds. We didn’t have any of those so we used festive colours to make a weave picture. The children really impressed me, their weaving skills were fantastic.

Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas Party and really enjoyed their special visitor. There was lots of giggles, dancing and games!

Y1S Dance
Year 1 Sacrament have been using dance to retell The Three Little Pigs. We have been trying to understand how the wolf and pigs felt and then using our facial expressions and actions to re-enact it.

Remembrance Day Y1S
Year 1 Sacrament were so thoughtful and respectful when we visited the war memorial today. We looked at the memorial, the poppies left there and talked about the significance of the day.

We have finished our learning about materials i year 1 this week. We will revisit parts of this over the year to keep our learning fresh in our minds.
