Centenary Day Y1S

We have been celebrating the centenary of our school and church in school this half term. Year 1 Sacrament travelled back in time to how school would have been 100 years ago. We had to sit in rows, We had to sit in silence. If you misbehaved you were given a chalk board to write lines. Miss Moore called us all by our last names too, it was tricky not to laugh!

Later we explored what children used to wear to school and we drew pictures of it. After that, we studied some fascinating photos of the church being built. Then we drew and painted some of them. 

We also took a class photo - Maybe in another 100 years children will sit in year 1 looking at how we learnt.
