Blessed corridor took part in a carousel of Roald Dahl activities. In 4B classroom the children listened to an extract from The Magic Finger and built their own bird house for the Gregg family using different construction materials.

NSPCC Number Day
Year 4B had a great day taking part in lots of maths challenges for NSPCC number day. Mrs Southward was very impressed with the effort everyone had gone to with their maths day clothes. Numbers on football shirts, a compass jumper and lots of home made outfits!

4B Pizzas
This week year 4 made their own pizzas! The children had researched different types of pizza, found out about Italian pizza making and then used all their new knowledge to make their own. The children really enjoyed being Italian chefs for the day.

Year 4 Water Cycle
Year 4 have been learning about states of matter in science. This week we continued our learning about evaporation and condensation. We did some investigations to explore water evaporating and then looked at how the gas changes back into a liquid. We also found out about the water cycle.

Local area walk
4B have been so busy this week. To help us with our map drawing we went for a walk around the area local to school to spot street names and features. We then drew our own route maps when we got back to school.

4B Christmas Fun

Our trip to Brockholes had to be postponed last week. Instead we took part in lots of different activities. Ask us about den building, environmental art, sketching minibeasts, how to find out types of tree and why our garden is a good habitat for worms, woodlice, spiders and centipedes.
