PE in Year 1
Year 1 enjoyed their PE lesson on the MUGA this week. One of our exercises was learning to do, and perfect our skills at, a standing long jump. They all tried their very best.

Y1 BAE STEM Workshop
Year 1 have thoroughly enjoyed their turn with a Roving Robot Workshop run by BAE. It was all about team work and together groups programmed the speed of a robot to get the fastest time around the course.

Our School Garden
Yesterday we explored our school garden. We recorded the types of flowers and trees we found. We took care to draw the shapes of the petals and leaves correctly to help us make a leaflet to identify them.

Number Bonds to 10

Trees!
Today, Year 1 Sacrament have been out in the garden to identify trees. We learnt about the different types of trees, evergreen and deciduous. Ask your children what the difference is… We also checked on our seeds. We can see some signs of growth!

Sewing Seeds
Year 1S have been busy planting seeds. We have planted snap dragons, kale and cucumber in our newly weeded bed.
Year 1B have sewn the same seeds in the poly tunnel. We shall see which seeds have the best environment to grow!

Making a Rosary
