We had lots of fun on our recent visit to the farm! 

Reception Sacrament had lots of fun at sports day. It was great to see lots of team spirit, and Miss Withnell is so proud of you all. A big thank you to all of our parents and carers, who were able to come and watch us.

This week in nursery we learnt about the Holy Spirit visiting Jesus’ special friends and filling them with happiness and love. The children made their own tongues of fire and asked the Holy Spirit to fill them with happiness and love.

Year 2 have started to learn about the religion Judaism. We have made a really good start and are excited to see what else we can find out. 

We are reading the traditional story 'Little Red Riding Hood' and our role play area has been turned into Grandmas's house. 

To mark the month of May we made a decade of the Rosary. We had great time choosing our colours and then threading them. Later in the day we took our Rosary’s to our special Celebration of the Word. We took them home, ask us about the prayers we say in the Rosary. 

This week we have been reading The Three Little Pigs. All the children really enjoyed the story! We have made pigs, houses for the pigs and even dressed up. 

Mrs Kamran talked to the children about the festival of Eid which is celebrated by Muslims around the world. She told them how she would be celebrating with her family .The children really enjoyed having their hands painted with henna and making Eid biscuits.

Year 2S were able to explore various plants and trees as well plant their own pea plant. They also very much enjoyed their giant cookie for a snack!

Fantastic work in design technology today when making enchiladas. Pupils worked safely and co-operatively in their groups to chop vegetables, grate cheese and fold their tortilla wraps. Excellent work Year 5!

We have done some fantastic traditional tale story writing in English in 2S. 

In Science this half term we have planted and observed the growth our sunflower seeds. We have learnt about what seeds needs to germinate. Today we are going to take our plants home to keep them alive!
